With over 10,000 solar systems installed, we have it down to a science. Our installation specialists are quick and efficient so you can start enjoying solar power as soon as possible.
From quote, sale, design, installation, and monitoring you deal with one company. We will never hand you off to a third party company.
No bots, no overseas call centers. Ever. All of our team members live in the Rocky Mountain West right alongside our customers.
As much as we’d love to make a buck, we can’t recommend solar for every home. Before we get the process started, we do our due diligence to make sure solar is a good fit.
Before your system ever gets installed we’ll get exact measurements of your roof, 12 months of previous power bills, roof angles, and historical sunlight data to make a custom system for each and every project we install.
Every part of the your system is covered by extensive warranties. Panels, batteries, inverters, and even the installation. Warranties range from a minimum of 10 years all the way to 30 years.
We only choose panels that can handle the tough weather and harsh conditions of the rocky mountain west. Our panels are rated to withstand hail, high winds, and freezing temperatures.
Monitor your system’s energy production straight from your phone. Inverters intelligently optimize energy production between the grid, your panels, and batteries.
We choose a layout that optimizes production (direction, angle, quantity of panels, roof positioning, etc.) without sacrificing how well your home looks.
Our team of local installers are NABCEP certified and strive to always provide the uttermost high quality results.
We can get your quote, deal, design, and installation ready in just a couple of weeks. The installation itself is usually 1 or 2 days long. You might have to wait more for permits.
Solar panels come with 25–30 year warranties but are designed to last up to 40 years. The expected lifetime of solar panels is between 35-40 years before they need to be recycled. The solar panels on the market today lose on average, 0.5% efficiency every year. Incredibly, most solar panel manufacturers offer a warranty that guarantees that your solar panels will maintain an efficiency level of between 95%-83% after 25-30 years of installation.
The Federal government offers a 30% tax credit. There may also be local incentives depending on your area. In addition to the 30% federal tax credit, some areas offer additional local incentives for solar. Here’s more information about the Federal Tax Credit and how it applies to you. If you are interested in learning more about other government incentives, visit this website.
We love solar and think it’s great. But that doesn’t mean it’s a good fit for everyone. Factors like too much shade, a bad roof, and inefficient energy usage could prevent you from getting any benefit from solar. As much as we’d love to help you receive the benefits of going solar, we can’t in good faith recommend it to everyone.
Here are 4 Reasons solar might not be a good fit for you!
If you think your home might be on the edge of being a good fit, but you aren’t sure, feel free to give us a call.
Solar Panels are built to withstand extreme conditions. Panels have different ratings for elements such as wind, hail, and snow load. Light snow doesn’t impact the performance of solar panels. The reason is that UV rays are able to penetrate snow particles. With that being said, heavy snowfall can hinder their performance. However, with the angle of the panels and the help from the sun, the panels begin to heat up causing the snow to slide right off. Furthermore, you shouldn’t be worried about damage from the pressure of the snow because of how durable the solar panels are. We put together an awesome resource on panel durability on our website. Here’s another one on how snow and clouds affect panels.

There’s something idyllic about having off-grid solar, but in areas like Idaho and Colorado that get long winters, it’s often more of a hassle than anything. For off-grid systems to work well, a homeowner needs to have massive amounts of battery storage. This also often requires gas, propane, or diesel generators to produce power when the sun isn’t out for days at a time. With a grid-tied system that uses batteries, you have the benefit of backup power during a grid outage, but also have the convenience of the grid at night or during long stretches of overcast days.

Find out if you’re a good fit for solar energy.
With a national power grid that’s pushing an average age of 60 years old and no plans to replace it in sight, we need to be decreasing our independence on the grid and fast!
Yup, while we’re using more energy than ever, our grid is the least able to handle it than it’s ever been.
Most homeowners face three hurdles with going solar:
Let me tell you, since the early 2000’s when we were looking at going solar, things have CHANGED! Solar panel warranties are so good now that you can get a 30 year warranty on your panels! What other product has a warranty that long?
Many of the companies that started selling solar panels have long gone out of business. Most solar companies only last two year. We’ve been around for 15! With solar financing, solar can be right around the price of your current electrical bill. If you can afford to pay the power company for power, then you can afford to own your own power!
In the last 15 years, we’ve helped 10,000+ home and business owners, like you, own their power. We hope you join us for the next 15 years and even more after that.
