Two Main Types Of Solar Panels

Monocrystalline Panels And Polycrystalline

Speaker 1: Did you know that there are two main types of solar panels, Monocrystalline and polycrystalline? So what’s the difference? Monocrystalline panels are a little bit more aesthetically pleasing ’cause they have more of a solid black coloring to them. They may be a little bit more expensive. However, they’re also a little bit more efficient. They’re perfect for residential customers who want a clean, consistent look and as few panels as possible. Polycrystalline panels, on the other hand, are more suited for customers like agricultural or commercial business applications where the look of the panel is not important and they don’t mind having an extra panel or two on their array because they’re a little bit more cost-effective for their system. So, depending on what you need and what you’re looking for, you may pick one or the other, but now you’re a little bit smarter.
